I’ve gotten good in the last few years
At surreptitiously uncapping
The shampoo in the shower so my hosts don’t know

No time to use it

And threw it out

Squeezed the sides and rolled up the tube
And tried to get the last drop out

I’m always leaving in the middle
It’s easier to think it probably never would’ve worked out
Easier to pine for something out of reach
Than someone who could let me down

In lieu of finding some reason to be here
I always find some reason to leave
Pour out the rest of the milk and hide a key

I’m never as happy as I am these days

Using the windshield as a TV screen

Squeezed the sides and pounded on the counter
And tried to get the last drop out

And the Wi-Fi’s on the fridge

With pump lids so they’ll never have to worry
